@eliotberriot Hehe, I worked in Quality Assurance for over five years 😛 And going back from August 🎉
Won't that be a potential problem? I don't know the full context of the conversion, but eg. will files overwrite/disappear if the user has more than one that "resolves" to the same ASCII filename (although it seems you have updated the test?).
Also, what's the problem with non-ASCII exactly, is there any other way to solve the problem?
Funkwhale, call to code reviewers
@eliotberriot I'm not currently using Funkwhale (I guess I should, actually), and I don't know how much I will stick around, but I might be able to help a bit.
In https://dev.funkwhale.audio/funkwhale/funkwhale/merge_requests/778/diffs (do I have to create an account on that Gitlab, or is it federated somehow?), I'd add some tests with, say, Japanese or Korean song names (eg. "집으로 가는 길.mp3"). What should that even be transcoded to?
Anyway, I left my Gitlab username and my Mastodon id.
